StopWaste.Org moved into this new building in downtown Oakland in March, 2007. The building was previously a dilapidated, 14,000 sq ft, two-story structure built in 1926. The renovated building was the first LEED-NC 2.2 Platinum renovation project in the USA. The renovation project demonstrates many ways that old buildings, and recycled and reused materials, can be combined in ways that cost-effectively transform a previously rundown building into a beautiful, green and healthy workplace. The StopWaste.Org headquarters is located at 1537 Webster Street in Oakland, California, USA. To start the virtual tour of the StopWaste.Org building click here. |
